Born and raised in Northern Indiana, Megan Hutchins has cultivated a lifelong passion for the arts.
Along her academic journey, which started at Purdue University and culminated in a degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Megan excelled in any project she poured herself into; softball as a tyke, diving, and drum line/percussionist in high school.
Always the life of the party, smiling ear-to-ear, Megan naturally had a knack for brightening the mood of those in her company. It would surprise no friend of Megan that she was voted “most likely to be in a movie” by the more than 250 kids in her graduating class at Concord High School in Elkhart, Indiana. While that has yet to come true, I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy a front-row seat to witness thus far what has developed.
I remember meeting Megan in 2001 and admiring, not only her personality, but her sensational creativity as well.
She has always been an artist.
She has always been a heart on fire.
With five children, ages 12 down to 3, life is pretty full of excitement around the Hutchins household. You see, I’m lucky to have been married to this woman for a decade and a half; and I have the first original nail art piece Megan ever created clinging to the wall of my office conference room.
Over the years, I’ve come home (literally hundreds of times) and relayed the appreciation folks have for her artwork – and that’s just for the piece in my office.
Now, it’s 2017, and Megan has designed and created so many beautiful, stunning nail art pieces – and she’s just getting started.
